The Windflow leadership team has over 140 years of engineering experience and more than 70 in wind turbine design.

GEOFF HENDERSON

CEO/Director

A Chartered Professional Engineer (mechanical), Geoff has been at the forefront of wind power engineering for over twenty years, including working in California and England. He invented the torque limiting gearbox (TLG) system which has been patented in several countries. In 1994 he received the Communications Award from the Institution of Professional Engineers (IPENZ) for his contribution to the engineering profession as a proponent of wind power. Geoff is past-chairman of the Canterbury branch of IPENZ and in 2005 was elected a Fellow of IPENZ. Geoff was a finalist for the 2008 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year. MIKE PALMER

Supply Chain Manager

Mike has been with Windflow since 2005 and has been a key member of the procurement and production team throughout that time. Promoted to head the team in early 2012, he has been responsible for maintaining the procurement and production capability of the Christchurch nacelle assembly factory. As well as engineering, Mike has qualifications in supply chain, quality and project management. While his primary responsibility is to manage the production of turbines for Windflow UK, he is also involved in supporting our international partners to establish their supply chain as well as assisting Windflow's international projects with the procurement of components for maintenance.

RICHARD TRUDGIAN

Mechanical Engineering Manager

Richard joined Windflow as Mechanical Design Manager in 2007. Prior to that he worked in the design of power generation equipment and heavy machinery. Richard has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Queensland and a Graduate Diploma in Aerospace Engineering from RMIT. He is an International Chartered Professional Engineer and Member of IPENZ. Richard is also Windflow Technology’s Quality Manager.

Gary Hughes Acting Finance Manager Before immigrating to New Zealand, Gary was an audit and accounts manager with a UK Top 20 Advisory firm where he had been employed for 8 years.He was involved with the audit and accounts preparation for entities with turnovers of up to £20 million. This included sports clubs, not-for-profits; petrochemical and chemical export companies, import companies and UK subsidiaries of foreign companies. Gary has been with PKF Goldsmith Fox Audit since May 2011 specializing in external audit and is currently seconded to Windflow Technology Limited on a part time basis. At Windflow Gary is responsible for overseeing the running of the accounts department to ensure internal services are delivered with efficiency and effectiveness.
